HOA Role Description
Description Board of Directors: "The affairs of the Property Owners Association are governed by the Board. Each director has one vote... Each director must be a Member or, in the case of an entity Member, a person designated in writing to the secretary". The Board consists of not less than three nor more than nine directors... (Bylaws of Southlake Estates Home Owners Association, Section B).
Description Officers: "The officers of the Property Owners Association are a president, vice president, secretary, and treasurer, to be elected from the Members. The Board my appoint other officers having the authority and duties prescribed by the Board. Any two or more offices may be held by the same person, except president and secretary. Officers will be elected annually by the Board at the first meeting of the Board following each annual meeting of the Voting Members. A vacancy in any office may be filled by the Board... (Bylaws of Southlake Estates Home Owners Association, Section D).
Note: We combine the Board Member seats with HOA elected officer positions. Please Nominate accordingly.
President: Makes operational decisions for the neighborhood.
Vice President: Aids the President in making operational decisions for the neighborhood.
Secretary: Oversees the paperwork and record keeping.
Treasurer: Oversees the dues, budget, and coordinates with title companies.
Executive Project Officer: Board member and oversees projects from project manager.
Social Media Administrator (position available: 1): Moderates the facebook groups and oversees community activities along with president.
Website Administrator (position available: 1): Maintains the HOA website and works along side the Social Media Administrator in ensuring HOA updated are published to all platforms.
Block Captain (positions available: 1 per street): Responds to and identifies article and bylaw violations.
Project Manager (position available: 3): Focuses on a single project from infancy to completion.
Architectural control Committee (position available: min 2): Reviews request for homeowners to alter or make improvements to their home to ensure it meets community standards.
